Anik Gandhi

Anik Gandhi is Principal for Starwood Energy Group. In this role, he is responsible for principal investing and asset management within the energy infrastructure sector.

Prior to joining Starwood Energy in 2014, Mr. Gandhi was an Associate at Goldman Sachs in the Global Natural Resources Investment Banking group. At Goldman Mr. Gandhi focused on transactions involving regulated utilities, merchant generators, and conventional generation assets.

His responsibilities included creating and assessing operational and financial valuation models for potential merger and acquisition opportunities, analyzing potential impacts of market regulations on generation assets, developing and presenting client pitchbooks and investment marketing materials, and performing industry research and transaction due diligence.

Mr. Gandhi holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College.

David Arbia

David Arbia is a Managing Director and the Chief Financial Officer of Starwood Energy Group. In this role, he is responsible for financial reporting to investors, tax structuring and compliance, cash management and fundraising.

Mr. Arbia is also member of Starwood Energy’s Valuation Committee and works closely with both the investment team and the asset management team as it relates to deal structuring, financial/tax diligence, and financial reporting/compliance for certain portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Starwood Energy in 2013, Mr. Arbia served as the Controller of Credit Suisse USA subsidiary Asset Management Finance LLC, where he oversaw an investment portfolio consisting of $700 million in assets. Before that, Mr. Arbia was an Audit Manager in the financial services division at Deloitte & Touche.

Mr. Arbia received a B.S. degree with honors in accounting and finance from the State University of New York at New Paltz, where he graduated magna cum laude. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Miguel Prado

Miguel Prado is Chief Executive Officer of energyRe. Mr. Prado will oversee the management and expansion of the Company’s generation and transmission assets to meet the growing demand for reliable, resilient and responsive renewable energy solutions with domestic sources that create economic and community benefits in American cities.

Mr. Prado joins energyRe from EDP Renewables, a global leader in the renewable energy sector and the world’s fourth largest producer of wind energy, where he most recently served as CEO of North America. Under his leadership, EDPR NA tripled its growth, and quadrupled the value of the company’s publicly traded shares. Mr. Prado was a key driver of the company’s growth to the 4th largest wind generation company in the world. Mr. Prado managed EDPR’s 1,000 U.S. based employees, and oversaw the company’s 8.8 GWs of renewable projects under management, more than $11 billion of assets and a development pipeline of more than 15 GWs. As CEO, Mr. Prado was a member of the global management committee and oversaw corporate procurement. In his 19-year tenure with EDP renewables, Mr. Prado also held the title of Head of Investments, Mergers and Acquisitions investing more than $18B in significant acquisitions in 14 different countries.

Mr. Prado holds PhD in Business and Management from the University of Oviedo and Bradford, UK and an Executive MBA from Instituto de Empresa, Madrid, Spain.

Pedro Pereira

Pedro A. Pereira is Chief Financial Officer and Chief Business Development Officer of energyRe. Mr. Pereira directs energyRe’s corporate development activities, managing investments and financing to meet the growing demand for renewable energy solutions, overseeing the company’s strategy & planning functions, and advancing the management and expansion of the corporate areas across the different business platforms.

Prior to joining energyRe, Mr. Pereira was the Global Head of Business Development and a member of the Investment Committee at EDP Renewables. In these roles, Mr. Pereira led the vision and strategy definition for new markets with the implementation of the company’s international growth platform, all international M&A activities, and global or regional partnerships. During his tenure, this new business development organization allowed EDPR to double its worldwide footprint and establish a new growth platform for Asia following the successful acquisition of a S$1.1 billion pan-Asian utility-scale and distributed-generation solar company. Mr. Pereira also served as the Director of Finance at EDP Renewables North America – having originated and executed $4.0 billion of tax equity investments and project financings in the US, Canada and Mexico. Mr. Pereira has also held various positions in investment banking M&A advisory in Europe.

Mr. Pereira is a Civil Engineer graduate from University of Lisbon’s IST and holds an MBA from the Nova School of Business and Economics with an extension at UCLA Anderson School of Management. He has also completed several executive education courses at Harvard Business School and Rice University’s Jones School of Business.
